Visits to Abadiania

Flights are normally from Heathrow, the first hop takes just over 11 hours. We then take an internal connecting flight to Brasillia, the Capital of Brazil, this leg takes 90 minutes. We are then transported to Abadiania by air-conditioned coach / taxi and this takes about 90 minutes also. We arrive at the Pousada (small Hotel) mid afternoon, in good time to rest before the first Casa day.
It sounds a long time, but I have always had great flights and most people sleep through the overnight flight, and then cat-nap on the coach. It is a long journey, but it is not exhausting, and the added bonus is that with only a 3 to 4 hour time difference to the U.K., jet lag is rarely a problem.

Flight prices do vary between Ł600 & Ł700, in January 2003 the cost was Ł605, in April it increased to Ł640 and in June it was Ł623. It is advisable to book early to secure the seat of your choice and at a fixed price, the best seats go very quickly!
.Travel Insurance for a single visit to Brazil of approximately Ł40 per person this includes luggage and only fully operative on confirmed flight dates, you can reduce the cost to approximately Ł28 if you exclude your luggage on the basis that your luggage is covered by your Home Contents Policy.
You must arrange your own Travel Insurance and I must have a photocopy of the Certificate with final payment.
If there is any doubt about your fitness to travel I will also need a letter from your Doctor that you these tare able to make the trip. It is your responsibility to provide a carer if you need one and it
obviously doubles the cost. Please advise me if you would like wheelchair provision at either end of the journey, this is often at no cost but there may be a small charge, please be aware.
