I am doing an adoption system and will put the pictures soon on this site of all the animals that are waiting for new mums and dads, they can stay on the sanctuary for as long as you want and you can get reports and cards from them during the year, just send a donation to help cover the cost for that animal, large animals like horses will be more expensive of course, so I will leave it up to you to send what you can afford everything helps, maybe you could raise money in your local town, anything that you can think of the animals will be grateful for, thank you and bless you.

Thanks to the kind support and peoples donations ,which not only goes to the feeding and healing of the animals, we have know been able to equipe Dr.Turene with a new sterilization unit, liquid drip stands and an animal support table for use during operations!!

But please realize, this is an ongoing situation and much more equipment is still needed, let alone the requirements for the day to day running of the sanctuary for example:

On 13th July 2004, Stephen and myself were able to buy a small property in Abadiania,(See the Pics on this page)it has three plots of land with it, and is surrounded by an approximately 8ft tall wall,, the land is completely bare, so we need many donations to build the large dog runs, cattery and other animal help items .
Having the Sanctuary close to the Casa De Dom Inacio will help get more donations, as loving compassionate people will be made very welcome to see and meet the sweet rescued souls, those against helping the plight of these animals will not visit, so therefor e everybody helping and assisting us will be of like minds, it will be a meeting place for lovely people to congregate, and have lots of cuddles and licks from our dear animals, very healing and spiritual!!!.
We were unable to purchase the Farm as the Lawyer dealing with this turned out to be crooked, so we had to abandon the idea (For the moment).
We also have an experienced animal manager looking after the Sanctuary approx. 24hrs a day, he is living there and we are paying his wages out of our own pocket, his name is Jean (Jim) and he is kind and caring, and loves all animals, we are very lucky to have him with us on this project, but I believe that the Entities found him for us!!.
All the healthy dogs are up for adoption, to the very very best of homes, and also we have an adoption system whereby you can pick a dog from our photo gallery, and adopt him yourself with a donation.
You will receive reports of how your pet is, along with birthday and Xmas cards, and of course, you are very welcome to visit your chosen pet anytime.

At the begnning of November 2004 a film crew from the Discovery channell headed by film producer and director Bill Hayes, from America, came to Abadiania to make a film about John of God and all the people connected, healed and working in different ways towards raising the wonderful vibrations at the Casa Dom Inacio and surrounding areas, Bill heard my story and asked me to take part in the film as more proof of the miracles going on here through John of God, I mentioned about the vision of St. Francis of Assisi, and how I have started up an Animal Sanctuary and a place for sick people especially people in wheelchairs to come to and enjoy the love that the animals give to all of us, so they came to the Sanctuary as well, and filmed all the sweet rescued dogs and cats we have there. Bill Hayes is an ardent animal lover and his crew also adore them, so ,this made for a wonderful few minutes of worldwide coverage, which should hopefully move people to send donations so DESPERATELY NEEDED to keep the Sanctuary OPEN. I shall let you know when the film will be shown on The Discovery Channel as soon as possible.

," due to lack of Financial help , it is with great sadness, that, I have had to close the Sanctuary down, and, after three successful years of being able to help the homeless abandoned pet dogs and cats in Abadiania, I am praying that somebody else will be able to come forward and continue with this compassionate most necessary work, if not, I don't want to even think of what will happen to these innocent friendly animals!!!.
